When you decide to work with LMI, you’re joining an amazing group of people with a common goal: Realize your potential. While we understand that a great program can help with that, we also understand that you also need amazing people helping to deliver and help you along your journey. Here at LMI Atlantic, we have a fantastic crew with varied interests and backgrounds that are here to support you become the best version of yourself.
Mel is the newest member of the LMI Atlantic team, joining us in 2017. His first experience with LMI was as a participant, which led to him joining the team as a full-time member. He recognized the benefits of our experience with an improved attitude, behaviours, results, and success.
He finds inspiration in helping people unlock their potential, and do things they thought they couldn’t. He loves helping others cultivate a positive self-image, establishing stretch goals, and following them on a journey of continuous improvement and discovery.
Not one to rest on his laurels, outside of LMI Atlantic, Mel is passionate about his family, volunteering, Tai Chi, and his foster children. He is also working on opening a new resource for at-risk youth in a community in the Upper River Valley that will bring new possibilities for many years to come.

Our office manager Maria Smith is the glue that holds us together. Joining our team in 2018, she draws inspiration from her Father and Grandfather. The way they lived their lives challenges her to become the best version of herself.
Not one to be naturally scared, she does often find herself nervous watching her kids do something she did as a kid (but what parent doesn’t?). Maria is passionate about finding ways to help her community both in her work with LMI, and in her personal life.
She is currently working on planning her family garden, and facing the ever-present challenge of getting her kids excited about vegetables!

CEO and fearless leader of LMI, Steve Daniels, followed a fairly similar path to the LMI team. First starting by taking a program in 2008, he fell in love with the idea of inspiring and developing people for a living. His life was changed with that experience and wanted to share it with everyone he could from day one.
Inspired by the strong faith and belief of his parents, Steve has learned to build a strong faith in himself, and in his Saviour. For Steve, it’s all about authenticity; we live in a world where too many people are hiding from the truth, so when someone is upfront and honest about who they are, he finds inspiration in that.
Steve doesn’t find himself scared in the traditional sense but does find fear and exhilaration in pushing himself out of his comfort zone. With that fear, he’s been able to push himself into new and fantastic projects. He’s currently working on launching a program that is designed to give back to the community. The excitement is real, as this new project could be a real game-changer for our community in many ways.

Not one to let fear get in his way, he is currently working on writing his book entitled The Humanitarian Circle.
